FUN AND FANCY HALLOWEEN
Fun and fancy, Halloween
Not destructive, nothing mean;
But harmless pranks and costumes queer,
Every autumn, every year.
'Tis a myth like fairy tales,
Children's stories, no one wailes;
Riding hood, big black bears,
Mother Hubbard, no one cares.
Skeletons and witches wild,
Bats and spiders scare no child;
old black cats will harmless be,
Tis a sight for you and me.
The Tricks and Treats are lots of fun,
So hand out food for every one;
Give then candy, apples red,
Cookies, nuts, till all are fed.
So 'tis fun for children, old folks too,
Have some both for me and you;
And then remember when we were young,
We did the same, and praises sung.
